Mindfulness: the Path to the Deathless
Ajahn Sumedho, the world-renowned Western disciple of Thai Meditation Master Ajahn Chah, will lead his first retreat in Ireland during August. An American by birth, Ajahn Sumedho was ordained a Buddhist monk in Thailand in 1967 and returned to the West ten years later with the encouragement of Ajahn Chah. He has since founded ten monasteries in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. A talented and masterful teacher, Ajahn Sumedho’s retreat will provide a gateway into the practice of mindfulness—a practice that invites the letting go of stress and anxiety and leads to inner peace and wisdom. Because Ajahn Sumedho is retiring to Thailand in November 2010, this may be one of the last opportunities to experience him leading a retreat. Sunyata Retreat Centre welcomes Ajahn Sumedho to Ireland and invites you to attend this very special occasion.
This retreat will be held at St. Flannan's College in Ennis, County Clare. Shared rooms (Same sex, 2 people per room) are €240, private rooms are €290 and private en suite rooms are €350. Book online now to reserve your space. €50 deposit required at time of reservation.
