Day of meditation and contemplation on dying, death and non self led by Heike Griffin and Stefanie [Onsite and online]

May 29 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Why spend time thinking about death? We all know if to be a fact of life yet like to pretend it won’t happen to us or our loved ones. The Buddha recommended contemplating death so we can live with more awareness and understand the true nature of reality.

The day will focus on exploring the topics of life, dying and death through reflections on the Buddha‘s teachings, in guided and silent meditation and in observing change and death in nature. There will be time for sharing and Q&A.

The day will be held in Noble Silence. Booking (by filling out the booking form) is essential as there are limited number of spaces available.

If You are attending in person please bring your own lunch. This retreat is offered on a Dana (donation) basis only.

Heike Griffin has been meditating for nearly 30 years, the last 10 years following the Thai Forest tradition. Since 2018 Heike has been involved in leading retreats at Sunyata.

Stefanie Blech has been exploring the Buddhist teachings while living in different Buddhist monasteries and retreat centres for the last 6 years. Since 2017 she has been involved with Sunyata and the Thai Forest Tradition.
She’s active and trained in end of life care.
