Finding contentment and peace in challenging and fast-changing world. Day retreat with Heike Griffin 17th July 10am – 5pm [online]
July 17 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
The deep, real contentment the Buddha taught, doesn’t come about from trying to create perfect conditions or personalities, or by acquiring a lot of possessions. Contentment can be cultivated and practiced as a life skill.
Drawing on the Buddha’s teachings on anicca (impermanence) and anatta (non-self) can lead to deeper understanding (vipassana) and touch into an experience of peace and joy unconditioned by circumstances.
The day will include periods of reflection, guided and silent meditations as well as some walking meditation.
There will also be an opportunity for questions and interactions with other participants.
The day is open to beginners as well as experienced practitioners.
10 am – 1 pm morning practice (reflection, guided and silent meditation, walking meditation)
1 pm – 2 pm lunch
2 pm – 5 pm afternoon practice (reflection, guided and silent meditation, walking meditation, Q&A)
Booking (by filling out the booking form) is required and a link to the zoom meeting will be sent to the participants closer to the time.
