Meeting Our Experiences With Awareness – Insight Meditation Retreat with Metta [Online Event]

During this Retreat we want to take time to look at how we relate to experiences, how we meet them.
We’ll probably see that we have very different ways of meeting our experiences. It wearies, often it happens that we find ourselves thinking about it.
Or first of it all we might get an emotional response to it. You sense something and it feels a bit disturbing. You might think, what is that? You might try to figure it out…
A more meditative way of looking at those experiences is, in meeting them with awareness, with mindfulness (sati sampajanna, mindfulness with clear comprehension), from the point of wisdom. We sense it, we feel it, we don’t really have an answer. When we look from this point, we do not really need to have an answer in terms of approving or dis-approving. It is not about an emotional reaction of any kind. It is in tune with the situation and responsive.
The retreat is open to beginners and more experienced practitioners.
