Wednesday Evening Meditation Workshop

8.10PM – 9.30PM

One of our regular teachers will lead a session of guided meditation, reflection and questions.

Sunyata Series of Workshops – ‘Practical Supports for Challenging Times’ 

2020 has been a challenging year for all of us in different ways. Sunyata will offer a series of workshops over the coming months looking at practical supports to help us deal with these times of change and uncertainty. These workshops are suitable for those with an established practice or those with no experience of meditation. Each workshop will focus on a different theme and explore ways that we can cultivate practices that promote an internal sense of wellbeing and resilience to help us get through challenging times. It is necessary to book at [email protected] The workshops for October and November are outlined below with further offerings to be announced in the coming weeks. It is possible to book for all of the workshops or to choose individual ones that suit your needs and interest

Beginner’s Meditation Workshop

This weekly workshop offers instruction in the theory and practice of sitting and walking meditation, with plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the workshop will not take place for the month of August 2020. We expect to resume in September, keep an eye on our website.

Meitheal – Community Work Day

The meitheal is an old Irish tradition whereby a community gathers to work together on a particular task. This would typically be the harvesting of a crop or the raising of a building frame. At Sunyata we have a monthly meitheal which everyone is welcome to join. Usually we work on a specific job in the forest or the gardens. Lunch and regular cups of tea are provided. We start around 9 o' clock but people are welcome to join…

Silent Day Retreat

A day of insight meditation practice for all those who would like to support their meditation practice in a group setting. Meditation for Children

This workshop is a child friendly and creative introduction to meditation for children. Children are encouraged to explore mindfulness, thoughts and emotions through stories, discussion, arts and crafts. The workshop is suitable for children aged 4 to 12 years and is held from 3 to 3.45 pm. Women’s Day Retreat

Busy Mind, Peaceful Mind – Getting Started With Mindfulness Meditation [Online Event]

Six weekly online sessions to help you learn and begin a mindfulness meditation practice. Tuesday evenings at 6pm. Garden ‘Mheitheal’ Day

This will be a day of outdoor work together in Sunyata’s gardens. Due to the lockdown we have not had the regular stream of volunteers required to maintain Sunyata’s extensive gardens. This will be a community work day where we will pitch in to take care of the gardens so that they will be looking beautiful and vibrant come the new year.
